Two ways, and they add up.
15%
Of our commission on what they book
When a traveller you brought books a stay or an activity through TripBuddy, you get 15% of the commission we earn on it, for twelve months from the day they joined. This one is not live yet — it starts when the partner programmes we have applied to are approved and booking works inside the app.
How you get paid
From someone tapping your link to money leaving our account.

Installing fresh? They type your code once while signing up — the App Store tells an app nothing about who sent them.

The traveller is confirmed if the account is still there and they have planned something.

From 25 on, it can be paid out
Reaching 25 does not send money by itself. From there on you can ask, and we settle everything owed at once.
Minimum 25
confirmed travellers before a payout can be made — €37.50 or $37.50 at the base rate.

Crossing 25 does not trigger a transfer. Say the word and we settle the rate and any commission together.
Nothing expires
Below 25 the balance keeps counting, and it keeps counting past 25 as well.

Euros or dollars?
Whichever you are paid in: €1.50 if you are in Germany, $1.50 if you are in the United States. You choose when you sign up, and your dashboard counts in that currency from then on. Not in either country? Write to us and we will sort it out by hand.
When exactly does the 15% start?
When the partner programmes we have applied to are approved and their booking is working inside the app. Nothing is being earned under it today, and it will not be applied backwards to bookings made before that date — because no commission is being paid to us for those either. We will say clearly when it begins. The per-traveller rate is in force now and does not depend on any of it.
What does confirmed mean?
A traveller becomes confirmed 14 days after signing up, if the account is still there and they have actually planned something. Your dashboard shows joined and confirmed as separate numbers, so you always know which is which. The wait catches waves of throwaway accounts before anyone is paid for them, which is what keeps the rate payable at all.
Can the same person count twice?
No. Each account can be referred exactly once, ever, by one ambassador — enforced by the database, not by a rule we promise to apply. If two links reach the same person, the first counts.
Can I use my own link?
No — referring yourself is rejected outright, and so is a second account of your own once it is recognised as one. That reverses the referral rather than merely declining to pay it.
Do I see who signed up through me?
You see how many, not who. Someone tapping your link agreed to try TripBuddy; they did not agree to have their name shown to you. Your dashboard is counts and amounts.
What if someone deletes their account?
A referral reversed before payout drops off the total. Once something is paid, it is paid — we do not claw back.
What if you stop the programme?
We can pause or end it. If we do, we pay out what your dashboard shows as confirmed at that point — provided it has reached the minimum of 25 confirmed travellers, the same threshold that applies to every other payout. Below that there is nothing to transfer, for the same reason as always: the fees would cost more than the amount.
Is there a limit?
A daily ceiling per ambassador, set high enough that ordinary sharing never reaches it. It is there so a script cannot do in an hour what a person does in a year.
Do I need to have the app myself?
No. You can get a link with nothing but an email address. Most ambassadors do use TripBuddy, and it is easier to recommend something you have opened.

We can pause or end the programme; if we do, we pay out what your dashboard shows as confirmed, provided it has reached the minimum of 25 confirmed travellers — the same threshold that applies to any other payout. The 15% booking share depends on partner programmes we have applied to and have not yet been accepted into; it takes effect only once those are approved and their booking works inside the app, and applies to bookings made from that point on.
